It's not just words

One of the questions we often receive is if we use our own products.  The answer seems obvious to me, but I suppose not all stores use the products they sell.  For us, putting our name on something, having pride in what we sell, is not just words, but action. This is my kitchen.  On the left is a standard cherry 12x18 with a double sided juice groove I use for my meats.  On the right is a 12x15 sapele edge grain block for my veggies.  I use both of them regularly.  When used, I wash them with a mild detergent, towel try them and then apply the butcher block conditioner.  Because of how I maintain them, they have darkened with use, time, and care.  In my opinion, they have become more beautiful over time.

We definitely use our boards, and not just as display, but for function.  The most important thing anyone can do with a wood board or block is to keep it out of water for excessive amounts of time, and always care for it with a protective oil or conditioner.  Doing so can keep the wood (and possibly a cherished gift) to last a lifetime.
